Tamim ibn Buluggin al-Mustansir
This dinar of Tamīm from the mint of Malaga which aside from al-Mu'izz li-Dīn Allah has also the titles al-Mu'ad and al-Mustanṣir which are the same as those of the Fāṭimid al-Mustanṣir 427H-487 (1036-1094 AD). Does this imply a possible nominal recognition by the last Zīrīd ruler of Malaga of the reigning Fāṭimid as his overlord? This is not registered in any of the chronicles of the period.
